1. Installation

You have 2 way to install theme: via FTP or Admin panel uploader.

FTP upload

Unzip downloaded archive. Open the PandoraBox_WP/  directory and find folder "PandoraBox". Then upload this folder on your server, into WordPress directory /wp-content/themes/  with any FTP-client.

Go to Administrator Panel (ex. http://yoursite.com/wp-admin), select Appearance → Themes and click on the "PandoraBox" for activate theme.

Unzip downloaded archive. Find archive PandoraBox_WP/PandoraBox_theme.zip

Go to Administrator Panel (ex. http://yoursite.com/wp-admin), select Appearance → Themes, then click "Add new" button at the top, then click "Upload Theme". Upload zip-archive with theme on this page. Go back to "Themes" tab and click the activate button in "PandoraBox" theme.

Plugins

Go to Appearance → Install Plugins, then install and activate all required and recommended plugins (Autoinstall created via TGM Plugin Activation

2. Configure existing blocks

2.1 Separation homepage and blog.

  1. Go to Pages → Add new, expand Options → 'Page Attributes' and set template "PandoraBox Home".
    Create page with title "Home".
  2. Go to Pages → Add new, expand 'Page Attributes' and set template "Default"
    Create page with title "Blog".
  3. Go to Appearance → Customize. Select tab "Homepage settings", option "A static page".
  4. Select Homepage: "Home",  Posts page: "Blog". Publish.

2.2 Configure homepage

Go to Pandorabox → Theme Settings page. You will see page like this:

On the first tab, "Homepage", you can configure text labels, description, add images and icons. For more info about updated icon system see the Icons section.

2.3 Configure slider

Add slide

After installing plugin "Pandora Slider", you can add new slides for it. Go to "PandoraBox → Slides" in WordPress Admin menu and select "Add new". Build your slide with Gutenberg editor and publish it.

Show standart slider

Go to PandoraBox → Theme Settings page, "Sections" tab. You will see this:

In subsection "Slider": select "Show section" checkbox, set title and subtitle text and click "Save all changes" button. It's all! Now you can see working slider on your site. (Add few sliders for enable 3D animate).

Also, you can add custom sliders.

2.4 Configure "Skills" section

After installing "Pandora Sections" plugin, you can add new skill. Go to "PandoraBox → Skills" in WordPress Admin menu and select "Add new". Fill fields: title, content and select icon in metabox "Select icon". After publishing you can see new "skill" block on your site.

2.5 Configure "Team" section

Add person

After installing "Pandora Sections" plugin, you can add new team persons. Go to "PandoraBox → Team" in WordPress Admin menu and select "Add new". Fill fields: "Person's name", "Profession" upload photo in metabox "Photo" and, if necessary, add social icons.

Go to PandoraBox → Theme Settings page, "Sections" tab. In subsection "Team": select "Show section" checkbox, set title and subtitle text.

2.6 Configure "Price" section

Add Pricetable

After installing "Pandora Price" plugin, you can add new pricetable. Go to "PandoraBox → Price Table" in WordPress Admin menu and select "Add new". Configure options, columns, cost and other parameters, then save it (Note: only one last published pricetable will be showed).

Show "Price" section

Go to PandoraBox → Theme Settings page, "Sections" tab. In subsection "Price": select "Show section" checkbox, set title and subtitle text. If necessary, you can fill Infoblock title and content (e-mail and phone will be added automatically if "Infoblock title" or "Infoblock content" is filled).

2.7 Configure "Partners" section

Add partner

After installing "Pandora Sections" plugin, you can add new partner. Go to "PandoraBox → Partners" in WordPress Admin menu and select "Add new". Fill title, link and upload image in metabox "Partner logo".

Go to PandoraBox → Theme Settings page, "Sections" tab. In subsection "Partners": select "Show section" checkbox, set title and subtitle text.

2.8 Configure contacts

Go to PandoraBox → Theme Settings page, "Contacts" tab. You will see this:

Since version 1.4.4 PandoraBox Theme disabled inner map and has input for the map shortcode from external plugins. (Set the 100% height and width of map in plugin settings for displaying correctly).

For example, demo site uses the WP Google Maps plugin.

2.9 Other

On PandoraBox → Theme Settings page, "Other" tab you can set next options:

2.10 Add testimonials

Firstly, activate Pandorabox Testimonials plugin and make some new testimonials in PandoraBox → Testimonials.
Secondly, add new custom block with shortcode [pandorabox_ts] in content. After publishing, you will see a new block with testimonials at the bottom of site.

2.11 Addons

Now PandoraBox → Theme Settings has 'Addons' tab which contain modules from our partners. For not it contain Weglot plugin for making multilingual site.

3. Adding new blocks

3.1 Adding custom block

Install new plugin "PandoraBox Blocks", then add new blocks from "PandoraBox → Blocks". All blocks will be displayed before contacts section by default.

But if you want to place block to specific place, do next:

Get the shortcode for displaying created block in section "Block options". Then open the PandoraBox/page-home.php file and add next code between "get_header()" and "get footer()":

Where [pandorabox_block id="***"] - generated shortcode for new block.

3.2 Adding custom slider

Since update v1.3.0, Pandorabox Slider have shortcodes for add more sliders: [pandorabox_slider] . Example of use:

You can create few different sliders with custom slides and timers.

4. Styling

Design options available on PandoraBox → Theme Settings page, "Styling" tab.

And you can select basic color of theme on "Appearance → Customize " page, "Colors" section.

Icons

Since version 1.4.0 we use shortcode-based icons. Now you can use any external icon plugin with shortcodes: just paste icon shortcode into appropriate field. Theme uses Better Font awesome plugin by default, and you can take shortcodes from it. For example: [icon name="flag"]

Fonts

Default font: Lato. If you want to set custom font, I recommended to install  Google Fonts for WordPress plugin.

5. Used code and libraries
